What are the current Contractor Incentives and how can they be used?

Market Rate Projects: The Advanced Modeling Incentive (Contractor Incentive) has increased from 5% to 10%. It is calculated on the prequalified measure total, up to $3,000.

Assisted Home Performance (AHP) Projects:  The Advanced Modeling Incentive (Contractor Incentive) will remain at 5%. It is calculated on the prequalified measure total, up to $500.

Refer to Section 6.3, HPwES Eligible Measures and Accessories List, of the Contractor Resource Manual for a list of prequalified measures.

Note the following:

  • Contractors are encouraged to use the 10% in any way that benefits their business.
  • High Efficiency Measure Incentive (HEMI) (Customer Incentive) has been eliminated.
  • Incentive is paid only the Contractor.
  • This incentive replaces all of the other previously offered contractor incentives (Cooperative advertising, equipment incentive, BPI certification/accreditation incentive, 2% referral incentive, electric reduction incentive, first completion/first year production incentive)
