How do I add appliances to my project?

Eligible appliances are limited to refrigerators (CEE Tier 2 or 3) and freezers, dishwashers, clothes washers, dehumidifiers and room air conditioners that are ENERGY STAR Qualified.

Appliances must be purchased after the audit is performed and submitted to the Program along with all other Completion documents. Anything purchased before the audit date or after the completion is not considered part of that project and will not be eligible for Program incentives.

Appliances can be included in the initial approval IF you have documentation to support the appliance cost. The cost in the energy model has to match the price supported by your paperwork. If you are not buying the appliance, then you can either include an estimated “allowance” for the appliance in your contract total, or provide a copy of the sales receipt if the homeowner has already purchased it.

Alternatively, you may submit a change order along with a copy of the sales receipt before the job is completed.
