Minor health and safety issues, like improperly vented bath fans, dryer vents, or missing CO detectors can be fixed by the customer and verified at test-out. The Program cannot issue conditional approvals for major health or safety failures like high CO, failing natural spillage, or building is too tight and insufficient mechanical ventilation present. BPI’s standards state that no work can begin until these failures are corrected. They must either be addressed as part of the workscope or fixed and re-tested prior to job approval.
